Key Responsibilities:


• Supervise the entire histology workflow, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining, ensuring meticulous specimen preparation and precise digital documentation.


• Coordinate histology service requests from initiation to completion, maintaining effective communication and providing constructive feedback.


• Manage logistics for both clinical and non-clinical samples, ensuring adherence to established protocols.


• Implement quality control measures to uphold histological standards, focusing on equipment maintenance, standard operating procedures, and accurate sample handling.


• Offer expertise and support to research scientists regarding histological techniques while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Essential Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, Pathology, or a related discipline.


• Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is mandatory.


• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a histology laboratory environment.


• Strong professionalism, interpersonal skills, and a dedication to client satisfaction.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.


• Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills.


• Ability to adapt and quickly learn new techniques and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience with brightfield and fluorescence imaging, as well as digital pathology systems.


• Proficiency in various histological techniques and equipment.


• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and laboratory information systems (LIS).


• Good visual acuity and the capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
