University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Miami, Florida.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to work in our Research Clinical Research department. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessing patients, and evaluating plans to include documentation of nursing care.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients and evaluate plans to include documentation of nursing care
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses, conditions, and physician orders
- Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic tests to assess patient's condition
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals related to assigned patients
- Prepare patients for, and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support
- Perform appropriate patient tests and safely administer medications within the scope of practice
- Administer and maintain accurate records related to medications and treatments
- Communicate plan of care in a timely manner to patient and family, as well as the appropriate team members
- Use available resources to assist in discharge planning
- Plan, prioritize, and adjust assignments to accomplish goals and render superior patient care
- Safely operate medical equipment
- Serve as a preceptor and assist new staff in the provision of care
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Florida Registered Nurse License
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
