Cook/Prep Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cook/Prep to join our team at The Buffalo Spot in Cerritos. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing meals and following establishment recipes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare ingredients for the shift, including washing vegetables, chopping, and seasoning meat.
  • Set up, clean, and organize work stations to ensure a safe and efficient cooking environment.
  • Cook orders according to food health and safety standards, handling multiple orders at once and monitoring new orders as they arrive.
  • Ensure each guest order has the correct food and sides, and store all food properly.
  • Sanitize and clean work stations and utensils, and assist other cooks in preparing food or helping team members when needed.
Requirements:
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, with the ability to work well as part of a team and on individual tasks.
  • Able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends, and lift up to 50 pounds or more.
