Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter II to join our facilities team. As a Painter II, you will be responsible for preparing and applying paint and related coatings to interior and exterior surfaces of our facilities, as well as selecting premixed paints and color matching to ensure a high-quality finish.

Responsibilities
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Gaming departmental policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and applies paint and related coatings to interior and exterior surfaces of on and off-site locations.
  • Applies paint with cloth, brush, sponge, fingers or plastic to create special effects; simulates wood grain, marble, brick tile or other specialty effects.
  • Smoothens surfaces and removes old paint from surfaces for painting; prepares surfaces as appropriate and cost effective; fills voids with putty type filler; removes and replaces wall fixtures.
  • Selects premixed paints, color matches or mixes required portions of pigment, oil and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors.
  • Erects scaffolding or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
  • Maintains tools, equipment and supplies in good, clean, operating order.
  • Interacts with internal departments to coordinate work flow.
  • Promotes positive public / employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or technical certificate required as well as a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related experience with specialty coatings and one (1) year of casino experience or an equivalent combination of education and / or experience.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
Work Environment

The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
