Position Summary:

The Procurement Analyst will collaborate closely with the EPC project team to facilitate and manage contracts with equipment suppliers and construction subcontractors. This role involves evaluating commercial proposals and overseeing the administration of purchase orders and subcontracts throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and support project schedules and requirements.
  • Compile a list of potential bidders with input from the Project Manager and Procurement Manager, assess pre-qualification data, and ensure compliance with MBE/WBE standards.
  • Issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to selected bidders, assess vendor and subcontractor proposals, manage negotiations, and recommend final contract awards.
  • Coordinate technical evaluations of quotes with engineering consultants.
  • Incorporate necessary contract flow-downs in all agreements.
  • Review and negotiate any deviations from procurement policies and project-specific terms.
  • Prepare and finalize contract documents for execution.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Manage the Procurement Status Report (PSR) to track vendor and subcontractor updates.
  • Document all contract-related issues accurately and promptly.
  • Mitigate risks associated with construction subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Validate equipment and material specifications from engineering documents and organize data accordingly.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to material shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Adhere to internal standards and procedures.
  • Undertake special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution (T&D) within EPC projects, focusing on vendor and subcontractor management.
  • Proven experience in supplier prequalification, RFP solicitation, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
  • Strong relationships within the vendor and subcontractor community are preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all organizational levels.
  • Strong customer service orientation and time management skills.
  • Willingness to accommodate occasional travel requirements.
