Position Title: Junior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Overview:

Boeing is seeking a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to become a vital part of our Quality team across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate contractual obligations and Boeing's Quality Management System requirements to ensure relevance to specific proposals and program documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of quality metrics and certification plans to guarantee adherence to contractual, corporate, and regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate capability assessments to assist in supplier selection processes.
  • Engage in reviews to ensure quality considerations are integrated into product designs.
  • Conduct data analysis to confirm readiness for manufacturing and testing phases.
  • Provide evaluations for material non-conformances.
  • Examine non-conformance trends to assess the success of corrective measures.
  • Compile performance reports and statistical data to ensure compliance with process capability levels.
  • Operate under general supervision.

Work Environment:

Some positions may require 100% onsite work. Candidates may need to work at various listed locations.

Safety and Security Requirements:

Some roles are classified as safety-sensitive and are subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Candidates must be able to obtain access to National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facilities and may require a U.S. Security Clearance, necessitating U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in quantitative or statistical analysis, including data collection and interpretation.
  • At least 1 year of experience in quality assurance.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Experience in supplier management or direct interaction with suppliers.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or similar Quality Management System standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the aerospace sector.
  • Experience in contract review, supplier management, or inventory oversight.
  • Knowledge of Supplier Quality processes.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education and experience typically gained through advanced technical education from an accredited program in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor's degree) along with 2 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
