Fund Accounting Specialist

The Global Fund Finance - Private Equity Finance and Accounting group at Blackstone is responsible for the fund performance reporting and all aspects of accounting related to the Blackstone Private Equity funds. The team provides support to the front office professionals, addressing investor relations matters, and works with business development on new Funds and products. Additionally, the team supports Blackstone's internal marketing group and deals with statistical and performance-related data.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with reviewing daily cash and investment activity
- Monitor and report on credit facility activity
- Prepare capital drawdowns and distributions
- Review waterfall calculations and management fee calculations
- Prepare quarterly and audited annual reports, including financial footnotes
- Assist in reviewing quarterly capital account statements
- Work with technology teams to improve system functionality and validate enhancements
- Liaise with investors and read and interpret LPAs
- Assist in onboarding of new funds and work with internal valuation team to ensure data completeness
- Work with Tax compliance to ensure accurate Investor reporting
- Review fund external compliance deliverables, such as Form PF and AIFMD
- Assist with special projects and internal ad hoc requests
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA (preferred, not required)
- 5+ years of related experience in public accounting and/or private equity fund administration
- Strong technical accounting skills and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment and handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across multiple levels, functions, and locations
- Effectively work and communicate with members of the team to ensure established deadlines are being met
- Desire to implement process improvement opportunities
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
- Investran knowledge (preferred, not required)
