The Clinical Documentation Integrity RN Supervisor CDI/Full-Time is responsible for leading the clinical documentation improvement team to ensure accurate and complete medical records. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to facilitate collaboration between healthcare providers and coding staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the CDI team to improve documentation quality and completeness
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary healthcare providers, and coding staff to ensure accurate DRG assignment
- Provide guidance and support to RN Clinical Documentation Specialists
- Coordinate meetings between CDI specialists and coders
- Develop and implement data reports for MD outreach
- Graduate from a Registered Nurse program
- Current New Mexico RN license
- Minimum 5 years recent experience in healthcare
- Prior experience in clinical documentation improvement, utilization review/management, discharge planning, quality management, case management, or coding preferred
This role requires working in a general office environment and general hospital department/nursing units. The ability to walk and stand 80% of work time is necessary.
