Summary of Role

Phoenix Children's Pediatrics (PCP) is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a committed Pediatric Physician to become part of our esteemed practice at the Cottonwood Clinic. Our Primary Care division, established with a focus on pediatric health, is dedicated to providing superior primary care services tailored exclusively for children from birth through 18 years. We prioritize vaccination and adhere to the immunization guidelines set by the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). With multiple clinic locations and a robust team of over 50 Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, PCP fosters an inclusive and collaborative work atmosphere. As part of the Phoenix Children's network, our practices enjoy seamless access to a wide range of medical specialties, leveraging the expertise of over 1,000 providers within the clinically integrated Phoenix Children's Care Network.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver patient care services as designated by the division chief, including but not limited to:
    • a. Provide direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
    • b. Offer subspecialty consultations and follow-up care.
    • c. Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
    • d. Assist in the administration and provision of on-call emergency coverage.
  2. Support divisional administrative tasks as assigned by the chief, including:
    • a. Supervise divisional staff.
    • b. Aid in the professional and fiscal management of the division.
    • c. Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
    • d. Ensure efficient utilization of clinical resources.
    • e. Contribute to the development and evaluation of care standards.
    • f. Manage projects under the supervision of the chief.
  3. Engage in medical education initiatives, including:
    • a. Supervise medical students, residents, and allied health professionals.
    • b. Conduct educational rounds and lectures.
    • c. Participate in continuing education activities.
    • d. Support scholarly contributions to medical literature.
  4. Participate in clinical research protocol development as per institutional guidelines.
  5. Act as a liaison to the private practice community and referral sources.
  6. Represent the organization in professional settings.
  7. Perform additional duties as required.
