Reliability Engineer Position at Kerry

The Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring reliable equipment and manufacturing systems to enhance operational performance, optimize costs, and extend asset lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs to minimize equipment downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Manage Spare Parts Inventory efficiently to ensure timely replacement of critical components.
  • Utilize KAMS process and tools for asset maintenance to optimize maintenance schedules and reduce waste.
  • Work with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP-PM) to streamline maintenance operations and improve data accuracy.
  • Implement Best maintenance practices and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Support Plant shutdown preparation and planning to ensure smooth operations during maintenance periods.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing site team on Maintenance Excellence Program to drive continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Understand Maintenance Fundamentals and Reliability Centered Maintenance to develop effective maintenance strategies.
  • Lead in Asset Criticality and Reliability Maintenance strategies definition to prioritize maintenance activities and optimize resource allocation.
  • Optimize cost using maintenance KPI's, identifying gaps, and improving asset performance to drive business growth.
  • Analyze equipment failures and support project teams in selecting Preventative/Predictive Maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Engage in supplier evaluation and selection for maintenance-related activities to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and new technology innovations in Maintenance and Reliability to drive business excellence.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical field to provide a solid foundation in maintenance and reliability principles.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering, reliability, maintenance, or related field to demonstrate expertise and knowledge.
  • Practical knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodology and tools to drive business excellence and innovation.
  • Experience in Food & Beverage or Chemical manufacturing industries to understand industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Certification as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred to demonstrate expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Ability to work on the factory floor to ensure hands-on experience and understanding of maintenance operations.

Compensation:

This role offers a competitive annual compensation range of $62,000 to $92,000 depending on factors like education, experience, and location.
