Senior Accountant External Reporting

Chemours is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant External Reporting to join our Finance team. This role will report directly to the External Reporting Manager at our Wilmington, DE location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare SEC reporting materials such as Form 10Q and 10K, and assist in future offering documents.
  • Prepare and provide financial data and analyses for quarterly earnings release and various investor presentations.
  • Analyze relevant financial data such as balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of the global financials and consistency of financial disclosures.
  • Compliance with SOX and other internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Assist in company implementation of new accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Perform technical research as necessary.
  • Interact with global controllership and independent public accountants on accounting and reporting matters.
  • Identify and initiate process improvement teams for functional productivity.

Requirements:

  • BS Accounting/Finance.
  • Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC Reporting.
  • External Audit or External Reporting Experience.
  • Strong oral and written skills.
  • Self-directed and accountable.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Works well in teams with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • 2-4 years experience working at Big 4 or similar public accounting firms, or industry related experience in an accounting and external reporting role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA (or in process at time of application).
