About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Cost Estimator to join our team at Plasser American Corp. This is a challenging role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Job Summary

The Industrial Cost Estimator will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to estimate time, material cost, and labor estimates for complex industrial products projects. The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment with critical deliverables and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyzing data from various sources to estimate project costs
  2. Collaborating with engineers, supply chain, and commercial operations teams to establish estimates
  3. Preparing estimates and bids for clients
  4. Maintaining records of estimated and actual costs by project
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Two years' experience in bidding/estimating or a similar field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience with reading drawings, GD&T, Specs, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Schematics, and Engineering 3D Models
  • MRP/ERP skills, including understanding of Flatten Bills of Material, Single Level Bills of Material, and Multilevel Bills of Material
  • Proven record of working effectively in a fast-paced environment with critical deliverables and deadlines

  • $85,000 - $110,000 per year
  • 80 hours of paid time off during the first year of employment
  • 10 paid holidays per year
