We are seeking an experienced Travel Oncology Pharmacist to join our dynamic team at Soliant in Berkshire, MA. This 13-week contract position offers the opportunity to work in a rewarding oncology setting with a dedicated team, providing impactful care to patients.

Job Overview

This role is ideal for someone with extensive acute care and oncology experience who can make an immediate impact in an oncology and infusion center setting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy practice, with a minimum of 1+ years of experience required.

The Shift: Monday - Friday, Day Shifts

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Assess patient therapy for appropriateness, incorporating age-specific modifications, and making clinical interventions to prevent adverse drug events.
  • Clinical Research: Conduct research and lead professional development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest treatment regimens.
  • Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison to other departments within the Cancer and Infusion Center, providing operational support and education on new treatment regimens.
  • Supervision: Supervise Pharmacy technicians and support staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices for the preparation of intravenous admixtures, chemotherapy, and sterile products.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain, store, and manage adequate inventory of all medications required for oncology practice.
  • Policy Development: Develop and update departmental and nursing policies to reflect best practices.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $110-$140 per hour, depending on experience. In addition, we provide benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for long-term employment after the initial 13-week contract.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of acute care clinical experience, including oncology pharmacy practice.
  • Ability to mix pounds is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology, Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP), and specialty pharmacy medication management experience.
  • Must be able to work independently within established policies and supervise pharmacy support personnel.
