Howard University Hospital is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and dispense medication orders for assigned patient populations.
- Assist pharmacists in collecting patient medication history and resolving discrepancies.
- Deliver and pick up pharmacy documents and medications from various departments and patient care locations.
- Produce routine and requested computer reports from pharmacy databases.
- Packages and labels medications into unit doses for inspection and approval by the pharmacist.
- Tracks and maintains stock levels of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Checks and replenishes floor stock and related medications to patient care areas.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- One (1) year related work experience preferred.
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the District of Columbia Board of Pharmacy.
- Competitive pay rate of $26.00/hour with certification required.
- 4 hours a week as needed.
