The Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in the Oncology department at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct, evidence-based care to patients, assist with procedures, and monitor patient progress.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct care to patients, including administering medications, performing lab tests, and documenting patient information.
- Assist with procedures, such as inserting IV lines, drawing blood, and preparing patients for exams.
- Monitor patient progress, report any changes or concerns to the RN or physician, and implement care plans as directed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Document patient information, including medical history, medications, and treatment plans, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) licensure in the state of Virginia.
- Vocational school graduate or equivalent experience.
