Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a proactive and driven LTL Sales Coordinator to become a vital part of our Domestic team. This team is focused on the transportation of goods across cities within the country. Our approach follows a cradle-to-grave model, ensuring that you manage your accounts comprehensively from inception to completion. Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipping is ideal for smaller freight shipments that do not necessitate an entire trailer, typically weighing between 150 and 15,000 pounds.

The LTL Sales Coordinator will play a crucial role in identifying and cultivating new business prospects, nurturing existing client relationships, and overseeing the logistics of smaller freight shipments within the domestic market. The daily responsibilities are akin to those of a truckload broker, with success hinging on skills such as customer outreach, pricing domestic routes, liaising with carriers for availability, and coordinating the movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop lead lists utilizing resources such as Panjiva, ZoomInfo, and Salesforce.
  • Engage potential clients through cold-calling and email campaigns.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients and carriers.
  • Coordinate freight bookings with carriers, schedule pick-up and delivery times, and manage shipments from start to finish.
  • Demonstrate empathy towards customer needs and convert those needs into effective, value-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with various departments within Steam to uphold our Perfect Shipment philosophy.
