Job Summary:

The Flight Paramedic is a critical member of our team, responsible for providing advanced critical care to patients in diverse and non-traditional settings. This role requires a high level of autonomy and collaboration with other healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and train medical crew members in continuing education and professional development.
  • Make decisions for patient care and destination in conjunction with the Flight Nurse partner.
  • Maintain training and skills commensurate with flight paramedic duties, equipment operation, and medical guidelines.
  • Assist with quality assurance, including data collection and chart review for quality improvement.
  • Provide care to critically ill or injured patients.
  • Present a professional appearance at all times.

Expectations:

  • Act competently and deal with customers in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Communicate pleasantly and respectfully with other employees.
  • Follow up on orders and questions promptly.
  • Provide business-like replies to inquiries and requests.
  • Perform all duties in an orderly manner.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
