Role Purpose:

The Software Quality Assurance Lead is tasked with overseeing software development initiatives while maximizing the capabilities of team members. This role involves directing, planning, and coordinating activities within a team of engineers. The Software Quality Assurance Lead will integrate people management skills with technical expertise to ensure the delivery of products that adhere to design specifications. Additionally, this position will involve monitoring, evaluating, and ensuring the successful completion of tasks and projects within the software quality assurance team. The lead will also be responsible for assessing, hiring, and retaining talent within the engineering teams.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance automation, or systems testing is essential.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a managerial role is required.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, SQL, and React is necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish achievable objectives for team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Guarantee adherence to timelines set by the development team.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures and processes in software development.
  • Address performance issues among team members and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Represent the software quality assurance department in various meetings.
  • Engage in design control activities and, when necessary, maintain and develop software primarily in C#, with potential involvement in SQL, React, and LabVIEW.
  • Utilize various software tools in standard software development environments.
  • Comprehend software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering.
  • Apply object-oriented analysis, design, and programming techniques.
  • Possess unit testing experience and a thorough understanding of test-driven development methodologies.
  • Implement design patterns effectively.
  • Employ troubleshooting and debugging strategies and best practices.
  • Provide support to internal and external clients for software in both testing and production environments.
  • Oversee the activities of the software quality assurance group.
