About the Role
We are seeking a talented Basketball Data Scientist to join our team at the Charlotte Hornets. As a key member of our analytics department, you will play a critical role in driving business decisions through data-driven insights. We are looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the game of basketball.

Responsibilities
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends and insights
• Develop and maintain statistical models to forecast player and team performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into daily operations
• Assist in creating and maintaining data processes and user-interfaces

Requirements
• 2+ years of experience working with large data in an industry, research, or sports setting
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
• Experience developing statistical or machine learning models using modern frameworks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Available to work a variable schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, and Hornets games

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
