As a Senior Software Engineer at GFiber, you'll have the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain software components that support our fiber network design and supporting address systems.

Job Description

This role involves working with a cross-functional team to design and implement new features and functionality. You'll participate in code reviews and unit testing, troubleshoot and debug software defects, and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that software meets their needs.

You'll be responsible for:

  1. Designing, developing, and maintaining software components that support the Field Engineering and Operations platform.
  2. Collaborating with other engineers to design and implement new features and functionality.
  3. Participating in code reviews and unit testing.
  4. Troubleshooting and debugging software defects.
  5. Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that software meets their needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  2. 7 years of software design and full stack development experience in Java, Kotlin, or similar languages.
  3. 4 years of experience in relational database systems and cloud infrastructure (e.g. Google Cloud Platforms (GCP), Cloud Run).
  4. 3 years of experience in a team lead capacity.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The following skills are preferred but not required:

  • Experience in Spring Boot or other application platforms.
  • Experience in Test-driven development (TDD) and integration testing.
  • Experience writing robust server-side code and implementing scalable systems.
  • Experience in debugging and developing across a complex stack (e.g. API gateways, microservices, SaaS).
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors to drive technical requirements.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $176,800-$259,200 plus bonus, cash award, and benefits package. The actual salary will depend on your location and individual qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
