The Group Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of our retail operations, overseeing one or more Sales Departments within the store. This includes managing merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, staff selection and development, and customer service activities.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Foster a strong commitment to delivering world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
- Financial Performance: Meet or exceed all financial plans as set by the Company, executing sales plans as directed.
- Store Operations: Open and close the store, maintain planograms as set by the Corporate Office, and staff departments with service-oriented associates.
- Leadership: Participate in interviewing and selection, coordinate training, prepare and approve performance appraisals, recommend merit and promotional increases, and prepare weekly work schedules.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve customer and associate issues, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws.
- Customer Engagement: Provide a legendary experience for every customer, every time, by assisting with buying decisions, identifying and evaluating customer needs, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership and In-Store Pick-up.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in Retail Management, with responsibility for one or more Sales Departments.
- Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts, define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions; proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management, and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems.
- Knowledge: Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, and use of the Team concept of Management.
