About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nutrition Therapist for our HIV/AIDS program. As a registered dietitian with a passion for delivering high-quality medical nutrition therapy, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients' nutritional needs and promoting their overall well-being.

 

Responsibilities

As a Nutrition Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial client assessments and reevaluating their nutritional status every 180 days

• Developing and implementing personalized nutrition plans to address clients' specific needs

• Providing educational sessions on medically relevant topics, including nutrition and healthy eating habits

• Collaborating with food service staff to ensure that menu planning meets the nutritional needs of our clients

• Participating in comprehensive care planning meetings and contributing to the development of individualized care plans

• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring the confidentiality of client information

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field from an accredited college or university

• Current registration as a Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN)

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with populations affected by HIV/AIDS, mental health, and substance use disorders

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
