Job Summary

Mesa Labs is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our Agena Bioscience business, you will provide on-site technical support, oversee installation, calibration, repair, training, and maintenance tasks for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair, install, and maintain mass spectrometers, dispensing equipment, liquid handlers, computers/databases, and application software.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with Agena's Sales Representatives, Customer Service, Applications & Technology, Product Support, and other departments to enhance professional support.
  • Perform, record, analyze data, and interpret results from customer support projects, and present the results to customer support, application, and research and development teams.
  • Adhere to departmental protocol, including service call scheduling, parts ordering, Return Materials Authorization, service call logging, and expense reporting.
  • Maintain ISO compliance through tasks such as completing field change orders, customer complaint handling, and instrument configuration.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, electronics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of field service, customer support, technical support, or similar customer-facing experience as an Engineer or Scientist.
  • Previous experience with sophisticated, complex, and/or scientific laboratory equipment.
  • Experience in the life science industry and with mass spectrometry is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of IT and networking concepts, including Oracle.

  • A base salary range of $95,000-$105,000.
