Position Overview:
We are currently seeking skilled individuals for the role of Trajectory Optimization Analyst within our Vehicle Systems Division. This position involves addressing intricate challenges in flight mechanics, optimization, and astrodynamics, focusing on a variety of vehicle types and missions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the U.S. national space initiative by tackling complex challenges in flight mechanics and optimization.
Qualifications:
For the Member of Technical Staff - Flight Mechanics role:
- Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or astronautical engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in flight mechanics or similar fields.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Fortran, Python, or MATLAB.
- Understanding of optimization theory and numerical methods.
- Capability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
For the Senior Member of Technical Staff - Flight Mechanics role:
- 5 years of relevant professional experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- 8 years of professional experience in flight mechanics or related disciplines.
- Experience in orbit mechanics, flight simulation, or trajectory modeling.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
