Position Overview

The Senior GL Accountant is a key member of the finance team, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. This role is essential for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with established accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

As a GL Accountant, you will:

  • Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills in various accounting software and systems, including AS400, Infor CloudSuite FSM, and others.
  • Execute accounting functions in alignment with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the accurate recording of fixed asset transactions.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts with detailed supporting schedules.
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of accounting tasks to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Participate in the monthly closing process, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits and financial reporting.
  • Contribute to cash management and banking processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Accountability
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities but is crucial for safeguarding the financial assets of the organization.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience is preferred.

Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally, presenting information clearly to various stakeholders.

Mathematical Skills:
Proficiency in basic mathematical operations and the ability to analyze financial data.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply logical thinking to solve problems and follow detailed instructions.
