Key Responsibilities- Execute repairs on vehicles based on detailed estimates and in alignment with manufacturer specifications.
- Verify parts against estimates and ensure accurate ordering and receipt of necessary components.
- Prepare vehicles for body repair processes, ensuring all necessary steps are taken prior to commencing work.
- Communicate with management regarding any additional repairs that may be required.
- Report any challenges or issues that could hinder the quality of work or alter the expected timeline.
- Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working condition.
- Utilize and wear all mandated safety and health personal protective equipment as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations concerning hazardous materials, including paint and thinners, and report any discrepancies to management.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the repair and preparation of vehicles.
- Stay informed about and comply with federal, state, and local regulations impacting body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards.
- Operate all tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
