Job Overview:

Universal Engineering Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Field Geologist to join our team. As a Field Geologist, you will be responsible for conducting technical work on various projects, including drilling and sampling operations, installing and reading field instruments, and performing observations of field activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field investigations and collect data on geological formations, rock types, and soil conditions.
  • Operate drilling and sampling equipment, including manual and power-operated hand augering equipment.
  • Install and read field instruments, such as observation wells and inclinometers.
  • Prepare reports documenting field activities and observations.
  • Collaborate with project leaders and supervisors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to company safety protocols.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Civil Engineering.
  • Ability to travel 75% regionally.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to assess and react to project situations.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently.
