Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Patient Access Services to lead our team in delivering exceptional patient care and revenue cycle performance. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization, direction, and leadership of multiple areas of Patient Access Services, including scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, emergency department registration, hospital registration, inpatient admission, financial counseling, admission/discharge, transfer, and bed control processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic and operational projects to optimize patient flow and revenue cycle performance.
  • Oversee the management of staff to meet overall objectives in terms of quality, service, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Direct management responsibilities of selection, scheduling, supervision, retention, and evaluation of employees.
  • Meet or exceed threshold goals for department turnover and/or system metrics on employee engagement indicators.
  • Provide leadership and communication to maintain a competent and engaged employee group.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience in a business office healthcare environment, with three years in a people management role.
