About the Role

Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at Orlando Regional Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify case carts prior to surgery to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Maintain a clean and organized surgical field, passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon as needed.
  • Anticipate and prioritize the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
  • Participate in sponge, needle, and instrument counts as required.
  • Assist in the maintenance of surgical specimens for pathology evaluation.
  • Order and stock specialty supplies under the direction of management staff and departmental guidelines.
  • Transport and deliver items, equipment, and medications throughout the facility.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a Surgical Technology training program, U.S. Military Medical Core Training, or an equivalent on-the-job training program.
  • BLS/HealthCare Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum one year of Surgical Tech experience required (dependent on level offered).
