Conor Commercial Real Estate is seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our team. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accurate real estate accounting services for internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring proper classification and recording of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and monthly reports for various joint venture and development projects.
  • Perform operational analysis, including budget to actual comparisons.
  • Assist with acquisitions and dispositions entries for various assets.
  • Review accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations.
  • Execute month-end and year-end closure processes, including in-depth analysis.
  • Prepare bank account reconciliations, fixed asset, and depreciation schedules.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with Development Management, Loan, and Joint Venture Agreements.
  • Prepare capital calls and construction loan draws.
  • Process invoices, including coding, support examination, data entry, and check preparation.
  • Prepare 1099 forms at year-end.
  • Collaborate with joint venture owners, development teams, and general contractors regarding billing and funding of projects.
  • Assist the Controller with activities and requirements of external auditors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and minimum 3 years' related experience. CPA preferred.
  • Real Estate and/or Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Intermediate Excel skills required.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • Sage, Timberline, or other Project Management/Accounting software experience a plus.
  • Full-time/In-office position.
