At Superior Metals Manufacturing, we are seeking a skilled Vacuum Induction Melting Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating melting equipment to produce high-quality metals.
- Operate melting equipment to melt and pour various parts using different alloys, ensuring precise control over temperature and composition.
- Set up air and/or vacuum units to meet melting parameters, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Perform pre-heat oven operations and move materials safely to furnaces, adhering to strict quality control procedures.
- Take samples and conduct materials testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety and well-being within the team.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Foundry experience preferred, with a strong understanding of metal processing and melting techniques
- Basic knowledge of the periodic table of elements and their properties
