Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Design personalized treatment plans that align with each student's unique needs and objectives.
  • Deliver therapy aimed at enhancing speech, language, communication, and swallowing skills.
  • Track and document student progress, modifying treatment strategies as required.
  • Provide education to students and their families regarding speech-language disorders, therapeutic techniques, and improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals and educators, to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in speech-language pathology and integrate evidence-based practices into your work.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for certification.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Prior clinical experience is preferred, especially in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals facing speech and language challenges.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
