Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Residential Cleaning Technician plays a vital role in supporting elderly individuals who may have difficulty maintaining their living spaces. This position involves comprehensive cleaning tasks that ensure a safe and hygienic home environment, including but not limited to dusting, mopping, and sweeping.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver's license and dependable transportation is essential.
  • Personal vehicle is required for travel to clients' residences.
  • Ability to read, write, and complete necessary documentation while accepting guidance.
  • Access to a smartphone for effective communication and scheduling.
  • Responsible for personal transportation to assigned client locations during work hours.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong attention to detail is crucial.
  • Immediate reporting of client-related concerns to management.
  • Preferred experience of at least 1 year in janitorial or cleaning roles.
  • Experience in home care services is advantageous.
  • Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Completion of 30 hours of training, both in-class and on-site, with demonstration of required skills.
  • Successful passing of background checks and drug screening as mandated by AHCA/DOEA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage time effectively, adhere to work schedules, and maintain equipment while providing excellent customer service.
  • Conduct general cleaning of all designated areas within the residence as instructed.
  • Execute specialized cleaning tasks based on specific job requests.
  • Responsible for the disposal of waste and recycling materials.
  • Address urgent cleaning and maintenance requests as they arise.
  • Assist with cleaning tasks related to pest management.
  • Ensure that rooms are accessible and well-maintained.
  • Specialize in cleaning challenges such as hoarding situations, heavy-duty cleaning, and window washing, with scheduled cleanings on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM
  • Includes a 30-minute transition/lunch break.
  • Availability during designated business hours is required, which may involve being on-call or reachable via phone.
  • Overtime may be necessary based on operational needs.
  • Frequent communication with clients regarding inquiries or concerns is expected.
  • Ability to convey accurate information in various situations is essential.
  • Must be capable of moving and handling equipment weighing up to 50 pounds for various tasks.
  • Occasional use of office equipment such as computers, calculators, and printers may be required.
  • Work is primarily conducted in clients' home environments.
