Job Overview

McAdams is a leading land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, transportation, and geomatics firm with a strong presence in North Carolina and Texas. We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, adherence to scope, and budget control.
  • Coordinate with field crews, including the preparation of field packages, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and meet project objectives.
  • Oversee project activities during each phase, including boundary and topographic surveys, subdivision platting, ALTAs, wetland mapping, easement platting, GIS mapping, and SUE mapping.
  • Process field data and generate topographic contours, staking base files, road alignments, and foundation surveys.
  • Coordinate project submittals with local municipalities to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Foster strong client relationships to drive long-term partnerships.

Requirements:

  • NC Professional Land Surveyors License is mandatory.
  • A four-year bachelor's degree or two-year associate's degree in a survey-related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of project management experience, with a preference for five years with mentoring and training experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge in land surveying, including field experience with surveying subdivisions, commercial properties, institutional, and industrial projects.
  • Experience in construction-related survey computations and staking plans, such as erosion control, utility, grading, and storm drainage, and building layout.
  • Experience preparing topo survey, boundary, and ALTA/ACSM survey maps, as well as plats, easement exhibits, researching records, writing legal descriptions, and investigating property history.
  • Developing scope and fee proposals and managing projects.
  • Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D/Carlson.
  • Excellent communication skills.
