Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for dentistry and a dedication to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. You will play a vital role in assisting our dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient patient experiences.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to dentists during various treatment procedures, including CEREC restorations, implant placements, bone grafting, gum grafts, and general dentistry.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment meticulously, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Capture and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) accurately and efficiently.
- Create a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients, preparing them for treatments with clear instructions and compassionate care.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions, ensuring their understanding and compliance.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to all dental regulations and protocols.
- Assist with laboratory tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth workflow of the practice.
- Share your knowledge and expertise with patients, promoting oral health awareness and preventative care practices.
- Perform CEREC-related tasks, including scanning and milling restorations, demonstrating proficiency in this advanced technology.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited dental assistant program.
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license is preferred but not required.
- X-ray certification and CPR certification are essential.
- Experience with CEREC technology and procedures is highly valued.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable effective interaction with patients, colleagues, and dental professionals.
