Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medical Malpractice Attorney to join our esteemed litigation firm, known for its strong culture, stability, and commitment to employee well-being.
As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for an experienced attorney to help us continue our tradition of excellence. While our firm primarily focuses on defense, we welcome applicants with experience on the plaintiff side of medical malpractice cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Oversight:
Manage a portfolio of medical malpractice cases, ensuring adherence to the firm's high standards from initiation to resolution.
Trial Preparation:
Prepare and organize cases for trial, showcasing proficiency in medical malpractice law.
Client Engagement:
Communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and address any concerns, nurturing positive relationships.
Insurance Relations:
Maintain effective communication with approved insurance carriers, ensuring compliance with their guidelines and requirements.
Billing and Performance:
Achieve or surpass the firm's billing expectations, with an annual target of 2100 billable hours. Attorneys who exceed this benchmark may qualify for enhanced bonuses.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the New Jersey Bar.
5+ years of relevant experience in medical malpractice law.
Trial experience is highly desirable.
We welcome candidates with both defense and plaintiff medical malpractice backgrounds.
Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
