Compensation: Competitive hourly rate ranging from $90 to $96 on W2.
Job Summary:
This position is integral to a Renewable Natural Gas Construction Program, overseeing the mechanical completion of unit operations until the performance testing confirms the design capacity of the gas cleaning systems. Expertise in anaerobic digestion is highly desirable for this role.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide mechanical oversight during the commissioning process.
- Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and recommend design enhancements.
- Identify common failure points and contribute to the establishment of a preventative maintenance program.
- Promote safe and environmentally responsible work practices.
Key Duties Include:
- Collaborate with Business Development, Construction, Engineering, EH&S, and Operations to ensure effective communication and goal achievement.
- Participate in regular update meetings.
- Assess risks and opportunities related to Design, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, and Scheduling.
- Monitor and report on safety and environmental regulatory compliance.
- Review daily and weekly reports for assigned regions and provide commissioning status updates.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 10 to 20+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, maintenance, or reliability roles.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas or Chemical industries is preferred.
- Familiarity with Renewable Natural Gas systems is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
- Ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong computer skills and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in interpreting codes, regulations, and industry practices.
- Effective both independently and in team settings.
- Demonstrated decision-making capabilities and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Equipment Experience: Familiarity with boilers, compressors, blowers, chillers, screw presses, pumps, mixers, and valves is advantageous.
Travel Expectations: Willingness to travel domestically 25%-40% of the time, particularly during commissioning activities and performance tests.
