About the Opportunity

As an HVAC Lead Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial HVAC service team. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled technician looking to advance their career.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install HVAC equipment as assigned.
  • Assume day-to-day coordination of specific agreements or projects to ensure contractual commitments are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate capability and interest in training others.
  • Use expert technical and troubleshooting knowledge to assist other service representatives in solving problems.
  • Keep technical knowledge up to date regarding equipment and concepts.
  • Search out and read applicable manuals and online sources.
  • Belong to and take advantage of technical organizations to improve technical knowledge.
  • Avoid needless callbacks by checking complete systems before leaving the job.
  • Check safety and limit controls for proper setting before leaving the job.
  • When faced with a seemingly unsolvable problem, seek out help and solve the problem before leaving.
  • Use proper tools and instruments for troubleshooting.
  • Inform customers when arriving at or leaving the job and when planning to return.
  • Explore customer complaints to determine the real problem.
  • Respond to customer complaints with the proper amount of sympathy and empathy.
  • Give assurance to customers that the problem is fixed; explaining cause and remedy; and if the problem has not been fixed, offer an explanation of the situation and suggest the next step.
  • Promptly and accurately complete all required paperwork.
  • Obtain customer signatures on all service reports (before work begins when performing spot).
  • Keep managers informed of unfavorable news, changes made, or disenchantment with price increases by customers. Communicate information to all parties who would benefit from it.
