Role Summary:
We are in search of an Information Security Consultant to enhance our Federal division. This position requires a strong blend of business insight and technical proficiency. The consultant will evaluate compliance and risk across various projects for major organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive information security risk assessments, compliance audits, and remediation strategies.
- Engage in projects focusing on frameworks such as CMMC, FedRAMP, StateRAMP, and NIST 800-53.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders to articulate technical requirements and process enhancements.
- Assist in crafting tailored policies, procedures, controls, and disaster recovery strategies for systems and applications.
- Develop internal methodologies to elevate the maturity of the Federal practice.
- Maintain a solid understanding of IT security and relevant frameworks (e.g., CMMC, FedRAMP, NIST 800-30, 800-53, PCI DSS).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- CISSP Certification is mandatory.
- Possession of at least one advanced cybersecurity certification (e.g., CASP+, GCED, GCIH, CCSP).
- Minimum of 4 years in information security, IT, enterprise risk, or compliance.
- Hands-on experience with CMMC, FedRAMP, and NIST audits.
- Familiarity with security architecture and systems design.
- Proficient in IT security concepts including firewall management, server management, and access control.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to connect with clients and colleagues across technical and business domains.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong writing skills for executive reports and technical documentation.
