Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Summary:

As a Cardiovascular Technologist at Nuvance Health, you will play a vital role in assisting laboratory physicians and RNs in areas related to Cardiac Catheterization procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to provide care to a specific group of adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist laboratory physicians and RNs in areas related to Cardiac Catheterization procedures.
• Provide care to a specific group of adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care departments.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years college or technical training, or equivalent experience.
• Will train in Interventional and Electrophysiology Procedures.
• Maintains competency and proficiency with all Interventional and Electrophysiology equipment and procedures by utilizing reading material and attending in-service programs.
• General knowledge of a specialized or technical field normally associated with an A.A. or A.S. degree.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist License.
• American Registry or Radiologic Technology Certification, or eligible.

Working Conditions:

Flex Monday-Friday 10-hour shifts with call.
