Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Vincent's Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct patient care to individuals with mental health and dual diagnosis substance use disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough bio-psychosocial assessments to develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives, and interventions as needed.
  • Implement nursing plans of care and lead group therapy sessions for patients.
  • Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise care plans accordingly.
  • Delegate tasks to other nursing personnel to maximize staff performance and meet patient needs.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in an acute care psychiatric setting is preferred.
