We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Truck Centers, Inc. as a 2nd Shift Diesel Technician.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of diesel engines and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty diesel vehicles, adhering to OEM and dealership standards.
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, HVAC, electronics, and other systems.
- Document all work thoroughly, ensuring accurate records and smooth warranty processing.
- Collaborate with the Parts department and Shop Foreman to ensure efficient and effective repairs.
- Conduct quality checks and road tests to confirm repairs meet our high standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License with ability to meet insurance requirements.
- Class B CDL with air brake endorsement preferred; Class A CDL highly preferred.
- Certificate from a diesel tech training school or minimum 4 years mechanical experience in a shop setting or military installation.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and commitment to quality work.
- Welding and fabrication skills a plus.
- Candidates must have their own tools; TCI provides specialty and OEM-required tooling for on-site use.
- Must participate in a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
