Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Within the scope assigned by the Supply Chain Manager of the site, our Sourcing Specialist will implement the sourcing strategy of the division into the plant, ensuring the development and management of the appropriate supplier base to guarantee that business expectations are met in terms of Total Costs of Ownership, Service, and Quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select new suppliers of materials and services, develop the supplier base localization process, and support home care division functions in scouting new suppliers and products within the market of competence.
  • Negotiate contractual terms and manage relationships with suppliers to meet current and future business expectations, ensuring that plant needs are fully met in terms of price, service level, and quality (lowest TCO).
  • Monitor suppliers' performance with adequate metrics, fostering a continuous improvement process.
  • Support the resolution of recurrent service quality issues within the assigned supplier base.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager in defining the plant's yearly saving plan and implementing Cost Improvement Initiatives assigned.
  • Maintain short- and long-term plans for assigned categories of purchasing.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English is a prerequisite.
  • University Degree in Economics, Engineering Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of working experience in big and well-structured companies, preferably in FMCG environments or in purchasing roles.
  • KPI reporting.
  • Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
  • Knowledge of an ERP system.
  • Good knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and social skills.
  • Proved collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving.
  • International experience and multicultural approach would be appreciated.
  • Self-motivated and self-oriented.
  • Team-working attitude.
  • Willing to work in a global team.
