Nurse Specialist

As a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients who require intermediate-level monitoring and treatment. This role requires a strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
You will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and implementing prescribed treatment plans in accordance with physician orders.
Additionally, you will conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and continuously monitor their progress, promptly identifying any changes or deterioration.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records is also a key responsibility, ensuring compliance with legal and hospital regulations.
You will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient care plans, making evidence-based decisions to optimize patient outcomes.
Educating patients and their families on the plan of care, medications, and any necessary lifestyle modifications is also an essential part of this role.
Operating and maintaining specialized equipment used in the PCU, such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps, is also a key responsibility.
Responding promptly to changes in patient condition, initiating emergency protocols when necessary, and providing life-saving interventions as required is also a critical aspect of this role.
Adhering to hospital policies, quality standards, and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and the highest level of care is also essential.
Staying current with the latest advancements in nursing practice, attending continuing education programs and training sessions as required, is also a key responsibility.
Maintaining effective communication with the healthcare team, patients, and their families, ensuring a collaborative and compassionate care environment, is also a critical aspect of this role.
This position requires a valid RN license in the state of practice and current BLS certification.

Qualifications:
