This position is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to assigned pediatric patients, meeting their physical, psychological, social, cultural, spiritual, and developmental needs. As a contributing member of the healthcare team, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate from an accredited school of vocational nursing.
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Licensed as a LVN in Texas.
- BLS Certification required.
