Position Overview:

This is a contract opportunity with a strong potential for extension.

Role: Financial Analyst

Duration: 3-month contract

Location: Southaven, MS

Working Hours: Hybrid model

Compensation: $60 to $65/hour on W2

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and oversee financial transparency across operations, focusing on warehousing and light manufacturing.
  • Conduct labor-based analysis, manage new product introductions, and evaluate capital expenditures.
  • Implement cost-saving measures and activity-based costing methodologies.
  • Support various business units while collaborating with international teams.
  • Ensure adherence to controlling standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze KPIs, and prepare performance reports and forecasts.
  • Manage operational budget planning, monitoring, and reviews.
  • Oversee daily financial analysis and controlling activities.
  • Enhance data transparency to drive operational improvements.
  • Facilitate month-end activities, including data compilation and general ledger reviews.
  • Engage in cost accounting for products within the distribution center.
  • Automate financial business processes to improve efficiency.
  • Develop reports using financial tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Participate in projects aimed at cost improvement and fact-based decision-making.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance business operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by management.
  • Support compliance with internal controls and requirements.
  • Contribute to the automation and enhancement of reporting processes.

Qualifications:

All candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Experience in cost accounting, particularly in standard costing and labor rate calculations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A proven track record in financial analysis and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in SAP FICO.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Tableau is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS tools.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and Hyperion.
  • Previous experience in operational finance within a business unit.
