Job Title: Apartment Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Apartment Manager to lead our beautiful, high-end, 240-unit senior townhouse complex in DeSoto, TX. This executive management role offers the opportunity to oversee a dynamic team while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Property Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the 240-unit senior townhouse complex, including rent collections, maintenance coordination, and tenant relations.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage property finances, including tracking expenses, minimizing delinquencies, preparing budgets, and ensuring timely rent collections.
  • Tenant Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for senior tenants, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and fostering a positive community atmosphere.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and manage two office staff members (leasing agent & activities director), as well as a team of three maintenance, make-ready, and porter service staff.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors for property repairs, services, and improvements, ensuring all work is completed to high standards and within budget.
  • Compliance: Ensure the property adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as property management best practices.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on property performance, tenant satisfaction, and financials for senior management.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience managing a multifamily property is required, with a strong preference for experience in senior housing or high-end residential communities.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership abilities, with experience overseeing office and maintenance teams in a property management setting.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior tenants, staff, and vendors.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including experience with budgeting, expense control, and rent collection.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to handle complex issues and make decisions that benefit both tenants and property operations.
