Job Title: Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Specialist

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled per diem Anatomic Pathology Specialist to join our esteemed group of board-certified pathologists at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut. As part of a broad range of expertise, you will contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a team of highly experienced professionals in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment.

The testing volume across our system is over 4 million test results per year, making it a unique and exciting challenge for an ambitious pathologist. Our hospital proudly hosts a pathology residency program and trains PA students from Quinnipiac University, providing opportunities for growth and development. You will have the chance to interact with clinicians and laboratory staff, develop your skills in frozen sections, cytology interpretations, rapid on-site cytology assessments, and occasional autopsies.

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $225, as well as eligibility to participate in a 401k plan. Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing exceptional care to the Greater Danbury area. With approximately 70,000 ED visits per year, our Level II Trauma Center is equipped to handle complex cases. We are associated with several renowned medical institutions, including the University of Vermont College of Medicine and Yale University School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Practices include 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Danbury, Connecticut, is a scenic city located about 70 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. This picturesque location offers easy access to New York City culture, as well as numerous outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, fishing, and boating in state and regional parks and preserves. Boston, New York City, New Haven, and Hartford are easily accessible via train or car.
