Job Title: Meat Specialist

At Hy-Vee, we're committed to providing exceptional customer service and a positive work environment. As a Meat Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the highest quality meat products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
  • Tenderize, grind, and cut meat products to meet customer demands.
  • Prepare cutting lists for case fills and conduct cutting tests to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Order new meat products and maintain inventory levels to meet customer needs.
  • Work with the Meat Department Manager and Assistant Manager to achieve sales goals and maintain a clean and organized department.
  • Assist with wrapping, weighing, and labeling meat products, as well as performing cleaning duties in the department.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related work experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
