Overview
Morty is seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team in Utah. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust mortgage business portfolio, providing expert guidance to homebuyers, and overseeing loan origination.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Build and grow a pipeline of new customers and referrals through Morty's platform and marketplace.
- Establish a local presence in key markets, acting as Morty's go-to expert in the area.
- Customer Service
- Provide expert guidance to clients on mortgage options, building trust and working closely with our centralized closing team to ensure transactions go smoothly.
- Loan Origination
- Work with customers to make recommendations based on their specific situations, clearly articulating Morty's value propositions to customers who don't yet know us.
- Pipeline Management
- Source customers, build your pipeline, and work at your own pace, leveraging phone calls, networking events, and in-person meetings with realtors and buyers.
Requirements
- An approved mortgage license in at least one state or actively in process to obtain licensure.
- Willingness to hit the road to build up a book of mortgage business.
- Excited and eager to learn quickly, with a 'no task is too big or small' attitude.
- Knowledge of agency conventional underwriting products.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
